Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 July 2026. These Terms govern your use of the Tourlio website and mobile app. By creating an account or booking an experience, you agree to them. This is a plain-language summary pending final legal review — see the banner above.
Draft — pending legal review. This is a plain-English summary, not yet a binding legal document.
The marketplace
Tourlio provides software that connects travelers with independent tour and activity operators. Operators — not Tourlio — create, sell and deliver the experiences listed, set their own prices and cancellation policies, and are responsible for holding any license or permit their activity requires. Tourlio is not a travel agent or tour operator and is not a party to the contract between you and the operator for the experience itself.
Your account
You must be at least 18 to create an account (minors may travel on a booking made by an adult). You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You may sign up as a traveler or as an operator, and may switch to an operator account later from within the app.
Bookings
A booking reserves your spot with the operator for the date, time and party size you select. Reservations are currently confirmed without taking payment — you check in at the meeting point with the QR code in your booking. When card payments are introduced, this section will be updated with the payment and refund mechanics that apply from that point on.
Subscriptions & fees
Operators pay a flat monthly subscription to list on Tourlio. Tourlio charges 0% commission on bookings. Once card payments are live, standard payment-processing fees will be set by Stripe and borne by the operator, not added to your booking total.
Cancellations
Each listing publishes its own cancellation policy, shown before you book. Cancellations and any applicable refund are handled according to that policy at the time you cancel.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: provide false information; use Tourlio for any unlawful purpose; harass, threaten or abuse other users in messages or group trip chats; attempt to circumvent the platform to book or pay an operator directly to avoid fees; scrape, reverse-engineer or interfere with the service; or upload content that is illegal, infringing, or violates someone else's rights. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this section.
Your content
You keep ownership of the reviews, messages, photos and other content you submit. By submitting it, you grant Tourlio a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and distribute it as part of the service (for example, showing your review on a listing page). You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to anything you upload.
Operator obligations
Operators are the merchant of record for their experiences and are solely responsible for: the accuracy of their listings; holding any license, permit or insurance required by local law; safely delivering the experience as described; and their own tax obligations. Tourlio may ask operators to verify their identity and business details before publishing listings or accepting bookings, and may suspend listings that fail verification or receive credible safety reports.
AI features
The in-app AI assistant and trip planner are provided for convenience and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Don't rely on AI-generated answers for safety-critical decisions (e.g. whether an activity is safe in current conditions) — always confirm directly with the operator.
Suspension and account deletion
You can delete your own account at any time, free of charge, from inside the app or without signing in at gettourlio.com/delete-account.
Liability
Tourlio provides the marketplace software "as is" and, to the extent permitted by law, is not liable for the acts, omissions, or the quality or safety of experiences delivered by operators, who are independent businesses. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Tourlio's registered place of business, to be confirmed here once company formation is complete; consumers retain any mandatory protections of their own country's law. Disputes about a specific experience should first be raised with the operator, then with Tourlio support if unresolved.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Tourlio's features change. We'll post the revised version here with an updated date, and for material changes, notify account holders by email or in-app notice.
